STUDIO HIRE

01. How do I book the studio?

03. Do you offer half-day or hourly hire?

Yes – we offer hourly, half-day, and full-day hire options. A 2-hour minimum applies to all bookings.

04. Are you pet friendly?

Yes! Well-behaved pets are more than welcome in the studio—just let us know in advance so we can be prepared, as we do have an office dog that frequently visits as well! 

05. How much does it cost to repaint the cyclorama before my hire?

A cyclorama repaint is $150 and must be requested at least 1 week before your booking date.

06. What’s the parking situation like?

We have up-to 5 allocated car spaces right out front, along with additional visitor parking within the complex. There’s also free street parking along Hoyle Avenue.

07. Is there a loading dock?

Yes! There’s a roller door located directly in front of the studio—just pull up, unload straight into the space, and you’re welcome to stay parked there for the duration of your hire.

08. What are the rules for using the cyclorama wall?

Please ensure shoes are clean before stepping on the white floor. Avoid placing heavy equipment or people on the curved section of the wall. No food or drinks to be consumed on the floor, and any food photography will require a protective sheet to avoid any stains. Children must be supervised at all times on the cyc. All this helps us keep it in great condition for everyone.

09. Can I bring my own equipment?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own gear, props, and lighting. We just ask that you take care when using equipment near the cyc wall and studio furnishings.


10. Is the studio soundproof?

The studio is not fully soundproof due to its location in a shared industrial complex. However, outside of typical business hours, the space is often quiet. Please reach out if sound is a concern—we’re happy to advise on the best times.

11. Is it okay to play music during my shoot?

Definitely—music is more than welcome! We just ask that it’s kept to a reasonable level out of respect for neighbouring businesses.

12. Can I view the space before booking?

Yes! Studio walkthroughs are available by appointment—just get in touch to arrange a time. 

13. CAN WE HIRE THE SPACE AFTER-HOURS?

Yes, we offer after-hours hire from 6pm to 10pm at $140 (inc. GST) per hour. Extended times outside these hours may be available on special request. You can find standard rates under our Studio Hire section.

14. What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee.

15. What if I go over my allocated hire period and need to extend?

If the studio has the availability to extend, then on the spot extensions are absolutely okay. Keep us up to date with the progress of your shoot if you anticipate needing to go over your hire period. We are more than welcome to accommodate your needs. 

PORTRAIT SESSIONS

01. How do I book a portrait session?

Simply fill out our contact form, and we’ll be in touch to plan your session, discuss the vibe you’re after, and lock in a time. After that, we'll send through an invoice and shoot agreement form. We require a 25% deposit to confirm your booking. 


02. What kind of portrait sessions do you offer?

We offer a range of studio-based portraits including branding, maternity, family, couples, pets, headshots and creative editorial shoots. Let us know what you’re dreaming up—we love tailoring sessions to your style.

03. How long do sessions go for?

Sessions typically run anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hour depending on the type of shoot. We’ll chat through your needs and let you know what timeframe is best.

04. What should I wear or bring?

We recommend wearing something that feels like you, but elevated. Neutrals and solid colours work beautifully with our studio aesthetic. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help guide your outfit choices in the lead-up.

05. Can I bring a friend or family member with me?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring someone for support or to join in on the shoot—just let us know beforehand so we can prepare the space accordingly.

06. Do you offer hair and makeup services?

We work with a trusted network of stylists and can help coordinate hair and makeup for your shoot. Just mention it when you enquire, and we’ll build it into your session quote. 

07. Who will be my photographer? 

Your session will be photographed by one of the talented team members at Pepper June. We’ll match you with a photographer based on your style and needs. We'll let you know who you've been matched with prior to confirming your booking, so that you have the peace of mind knowing who you'll be spending your shoot with.
